I had a lot of fun working with Paul & Nicole. They are a really fun couple, with lots of ideas.
This couple was great fun to get to know over the course of the year that we started planning their wedding. Ashley & Curtis live in Alberta, so this was a destination wedding for the two of them. The entire wedding was inspired around Ashley’s dress, which she had found before we started planning. Her dress was so beautiful and unique that it really set the tone for the entire day. The couple wanted a modern, fresh, clean feel to their day. We designed their wedding keeping that in mind.
I was reading an article online, about how you should be wary of wedding planners because when they recommend a vendor to you they are probably receiving a “kick-back” or a commission from that vendor. I just want to be up front and clear about this topic with you. I have taken specialized training to become a wedding planner from WPIC (Wedding Planners Institute of Canada.) Within this training, we have to uphold a Code of Ethics set out from WPIC. I thought it might be of interest to you to know this Code Of Ethics, so here it is:
Sometimes people feel a bit lost and overwhelmed when it comes to where to start with planning your wedding. It can be a bit daunting, but if you break it down into smaller chunks, and then start thinking of the big picture for your wedding, it will be a lot easier.
We stumbled upon this video of one of our favourite weddings from last year. Dawn & Mike had their reception at the Okanagan Golf Club. Such a great venue for Kelowna! Check out the video by Jerry Mason of In-Focus Video.
